World’s Toughest Mile – Participant Waiver and Release of Liability Please read carefully before agreeing. This document affects your legal rights. By registering for and participating in World’s Toughest Mile (“the Event”), I acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk(Required)

I understand that the Event is a physically demanding competition involving running, sprinting, climbing, lifting, crawling, jumping, and other forms of high-intensity exercise. The course may include obstacles, varied terrain, and environmental hazards such as mud, gravel, uneven ground, or weather-related conditions. I recognize that participation carries inherent risks of serious injury, illness, property damage, or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, including those arising from the actions or omissions of others.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability(Required)

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, contractors, vendors, officials, venue owners, agencies contracted by the Event organizers, and all of their officers, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, losses, or liabilities arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including claims resulting from the Released Parties’ negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Medical Acknowledgment and Consent(Required)

I represent that I am physically capable and medically able to participate safely in the Event. I understand that this competition involves maximal physical exertion over a short duration and that it is my responsibility to monitor my own condition at all times. I consent to receive medical attention deemed necessary if I am injured, become ill, or otherwise require care during the Event, and I accept full responsibility for all related costs. I understand that on-site first aid may be limited and that emergency medical services may require external transport.

4. Environmental and Weather Conditions(Required)

I understand that the Event may take place in outdoor settings subject to weather changes and natural hazards, including but not limited to heat, cold, humidity, sun exposure, wind, rain, or uneven ground. I accept all such conditions as part of my voluntary participation.

5. Rules and Conduct(Required)

I agree to follow all Event rules, safety instructions, and directions from Event staff and officials. I understand that failure to do so may result in disqualification or removal from the Event without refund. I agree not to engage in any behavior that endangers myself, other participants, or Event staff.

6. Media and Publicity Release(Required)

I grant full permission to the Event, Hazelize, SendIt, and their partners to use my name, likeness, image, voice, or performance in photographs, video, or other media recorded during the Event for promotional, commercial, or educational purposes in any format, without compensation or approval.

7. Indemnification(Required)

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from my participation or conduct in connection with the Event.

8. Acknowledgment of Understanding(Required)

I have carefully read this waiver and fully understand its contents. I am aware that by agreeing to it, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue, and I do so voluntarily of my own free will.
